Another wild night in

This is what I have been doing tonight besides working. You can’t see here, but the pony has ‘irony’ written on it in sugar letters. We wanted to write ‘ironicorn’ but there wasn’t room.

There were others, but they have been eaten already.

Did they taste as good as they look? Because they look great. I especially like the dinosaur on the bottom right, maybe because it’s the least scarily glittery. And it has a sort of haunted, spectral quality.

Thanks! They tasted ok, not the best ever – meant to be gingerbread but ended up as clove bread. Even 1 tbsp of ginger and 1tbsp of cinnamon can’t drown out the mighty power of 1tsp of ground clove, it turns out.

I like the dinosaur skeleton in that picture (although it was less fun to eat) – it looks like it’s running away from the others in horror of their excessive sparkles.

As long as they were edible, and fun to make, that’s the main thing. I will remember your clove lesson. Sometimes I put a clove or three in my tea, forgetting how strong the aroma becomes. My gran showed us as kids how to stick loads of them in an orange as a cheap (and funky-looking) air freshener. I made one recently and loved how sci-fi it looked.

And yes, the dinosaur is in just the right place in that photo.
